Research in recent decades has repeatedly affirmed that, while men’s and women’s experiences of sexuality have significant overlap, the average experience of the groups is statistically different. Unfortunately, the current Christian conversation about working with or counseling LGBTQ/same-sex attracted people tends to be dominated by male voices and men’s experiences. What can we learn as we study and interpret women’s experiences of sexuality, not in comparison to men’s experiences, but as their own subject of investigation? In this webinar, we’ll hear from Dr. Emma Bucher, a clinical psychologist who specializes in treating teens and adults navigating the intersection of LGBTQ+ experiences and faith. She’ll share about the challenges and opportunities she’s seeing among women she works with, including the practical steps she takes with clients as they respond to these challenges and opportunities.
