It's easy to think of celibacy in terms of its absences, the ways it involves saying "no": no to marriage, no to sex, no to lust, and so on. But Dr. David Bennett, in his recently completed DPhil dissertation at Oxford University, argues that celibacy—particularly gay Christian celibacy—can offer our Christian community a tremendous gift by helping us reinvigorate our theology of desire. In this webinar, we'll hear from David about the context behind his research, what he's learned along the way, and how his conclusions can help us all live fuller and more joyful lives of Christian obedience.
